Blue Tree Monitor (Varanus macraei)

Blue Tree Monitor (Varanus macraei)

An endemic species from Batanta Island, this species is an absolute gem of the reptile world.  While their coloration alone makes them a breathtaking animal to watch, their intelligence is what really sets these apart from the rest.  Our specimens are true captive bred animals that are produced here in our facility in the USA.  This means that you don't have to worry about acclimation to captivity, foreign parasites and the possibility of getting a sick/weak animal.

We strongly suggest a 4'x4'x2' minimum sized enclosure for adults.  UVB, a warm basking area, high humidity, and lots of climbing branches will also be a requirement.  If you are not able to provide these important necessities, then these are not for you!  If you can meet these requirements, prepare to enjoy one of the most amazing reptiles on the planet!
